I like the StackOverflow range of question and answer sites and have hopped on and off them almost since the very beginning.  When I logged in recently I was informed that one of my questions had been awarded the ‘Famous Question’ badge..i.e. it had been viewed over 10,000 times.  The relevant question was Python blogs that you regularly follow? which was asked by me in the very early days of the site. Not only has it received 63 community up-votes and over 10,000 views but it’s also been closed as ‘Not constructive’ by senior members of the Stack Overflow community.

I find this contrast amusing!

As a famous question, that will probably never get the delete votes required to remove it from Stack Overflow permanently. However, the answers there could probably still be made into a decent blog post.

Good idea, I’ll probably do it here.

I am interested in a narrower question: links to python for scientific programming blogs. I am not a python aficionado; it is just a tool that I willnuse ifnit helps me solve my problem.

On the same vein, I am interested in blogs like yours on scientific programming in any language

But “Bill the Lizard” as you know you can delete comments on SO without any votes at all with that delete finger that you use all too often.

You are starting to get a bad name
