{"id":381,"date":"2008-11-27T12:45:26","date_gmt":"2008-11-27T11:45:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.walkingrandomly.com\/?p=381"},"modified":"2008-11-27T12:45:26","modified_gmt":"2008-11-27T11:45:26","slug":"proof-i-have-a-brain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walkingrandomly.com\/?p=381","title":{"rendered":"Proof I have a brain!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many people have referred to me as brainless over the years so when offered the opportunity to prove otherwise at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.internationalmathematicasymposium.org\/\">International Mathematica Symposium<\/a> earlier this year I jumped at the chance.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/random\/before_scan.JPG\" alt=\"This is what happens when you say that you like MATLAB while at a Mathematica conference.\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/random\/i_have_a_brain.jpg\" alt=\"My brain in all it's glory\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Apparently the reason for the fuzziness in the image was because I moved around too much during the scan.  This could have been fixed but it would have involved bolting my skull into position and, although the crowd were interested in a demonstration, I was not really that up for it.<\/p>\n<p>If I remember the details correctly, this is a low resolution scanner that can be used by surgeons while brain surgery is actually taking place.
