{"id":1782,"date":"2009-10-22T16:28:46","date_gmt":"2009-10-22T15:28:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.walkingrandomly.com\/?p=1782"},"modified":"2010-11-12T15:48:34","modified_gmt":"2010-11-12T14:48:34","slug":"mathematica-colorbarplot-v0-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walkingrandomly.com\/?p=1782","title":{"rendered":"Mathematica colorbarplot v0.5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Will Robertson and I have released a new version of our colorbarplot package for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wolfram.com\/\">Mathematica<\/a> 6 and above.\u00a0 Colorbarplot has only one aim and that is to allow Mathematica users to add a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mathworks.co.uk\/\">MATLAB<\/a>-like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/access\/helpdesk\/help\/techdoc\/index.html?\/access\/helpdesk\/help\/techdoc\/ref\/colorbar.html\">colorbar<\/a> to their graphs.\u00a0 Something like this for example:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/images\/mathematica\/col04ex3.jpg\" alt=\"Mathematica colorbar\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Version 0.5 is a very small upgrade from 0.4 in that it allows you to change the font style of the colorbar ticks as well as it&#8217;s label &#8211; as requested by Murat Havzal\u0131.\u00a0 Here are a couple of examples of the new functionality:<\/p>\n<pre>ColorbarPlot[Sin[#1 #2] &amp;, {0, 2}, {0, 2},\r\n PlotType -&gt; \"Contour\",\r\n CTicksStyle -&gt; Bold]<\/pre>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/images\/mathematica7\/colorbar0_5_plot2.png\" alt=\"Mathematica colorbar\" \/><\/p>\n<pre>ColorbarPlot[Sin[#1 #2] &amp;, {0, 2}, {0, 2},\r\n PlotType -&gt; \"3D\",\r\n CLabel -&gt; \"Hello\",\r\n ColorFunction -&gt; \"TemperatureMap\",\r\n CLabelStyle -&gt; Directive[Red, Italic, Bold, FontSize -&gt; 20],\r\n CTicksStyle -&gt; Directive[Green, FontFamily -&gt; \"Helvetica\"]\r\n ]<\/pre>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/images\/mathematica7\/colorbar0_5_plot1.png\" alt=\"Mathematica colorbar\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Colorbarplot comes with an extensive examples file and you can <a href=\"\/images\/mathematica7\/ColorbarPlot0.5.zip\">download version 0.5<\/a> either from me or from <a href=\"http:\/\/github.com\/wspr\/ColorbarPlot\">Will&#8217;s github repository<\/a>.
